Get Brembo blanks, they are cheap and excellent quality. Street cars don't need slotted, they would just be for looks. nopionline.com sells them.
ok,
Now that i got that out the way...What about pads what good ones are out there?
I'm replacing my B.M.C and going to bleed my brakes and just looking for other stuff to do while im at it....

I got new front disks, rear pads, and rotors when I first got my car. I went as cheap as possible...Autozone baby! I spent around $60 for everything. I can stop so fast it throws my speakerbox into the back of me seats...and that thing is heavy. But, for racing, I'm sure that Autozone brakes are not the way to go but for normal stop and go driving they can't be beat.

AEM Pads are not good pads to me. i had them on my car and they sucked along with power slot rotors. get a HAWK pad or an Axxis . there is a guy on here that can sell you the pads for a good price, its cobalt friction www.cobaltfriction.com
After doing a bunch of research into the slotted, drilled, ect... Posted by peeps actually working in the industry, testing and developing them. I went with NAPA True Stop ($20.00 something apeice) and AEM front pads. As far the rear goes, I went with 87' HF drums and OEM shoes. Soooo far, I have been quite pleased with the stopping now.....
In alot aways, having a car stopping to quick, will only end up getting you rear ended, and pushed into the car ahead of you. As your foot release the brake pedal from the impact... hehehe

I've got Powerslot's on the front of my STD with EBC Green Stuff pads and I like it. Some people dislike the Powerslots and others, because they say they warp. But we all know the the EF's don't have very agressive breaks. Those tiny little things are almost always gonna warp when constantly being put under extremely hard driving.
My first rotors were the EBC sport rotors witht he EBC pads, and they warped. Since then I've driven easier on them, and they feel much better.
As for the rear, I've still got the stock drum setup. I just use AutoZone drums and shoes.

I have hawks on the front, nice grip. I bought some cheapo blanks for my other civic last year but had to have them machined because they were a slight bit warped out of the box. My dads mechanic said a lot of them need to be machined out of the box for a complete smooth finish.
