What kind of Rotors and Pads to get??
hi
ive got warped rotors and violent shaking when i brake so im gonna get new brakes. Do I need to get them for the front and back. or jsut the front for now? Also, what kind of brakes should i get. I jsut wanna get something decent, about oem performace or higher.
ive been looking into opparts rotors, brembo rotors, hawk pads and oem honda stock pads?
I m new to brakes and have no idea... also where can i get them installed for cheap? Thanks for any suggestions you guys may have!!

Brembo blanks are pretty good i heard. I got my rotors from R1Concepts and pretty good. No warpage. I suggest either slots or blanks for any rotor. Drilled is not worth it.
As for brake pads, ceramic is the way to go for me. Don't get Duralast, some issues fitting the pads in. Satisfied brake pads are good. And Green Stuff is really good. You might want to try carbon metallic, I was going to try it, but ran out.
edit what car do you have? What year? Changing brakes by yourself is easy. Theres even a write up on it. Just a few basic tools, and an hour or 2. But if you have a 5th generation (94-97) and you're not comfortable working around cars, I suggest bringing it to a shop. I think this also applies to the 4th gen. (The one where you have to remove the steering knuckle)

what year accord do you have? Like stated above, 90-97 Accords can be a PITA because they are hub-over-rotor.
What is you intended use for this car? Daily Driver?
either way, I would still get brembo blanks over slotted or drilled rotors.
for pads, on my 95 Accord EX I went with carbon metallic pads all around from AutoZone. They performed very well for daily driving. And with the lifetime warranty you only have to buy them once.
Also, think about flushing your brake fluid with some new stuff. Over time your fluid absorbs water and that which reduces it's performance.

I'm running Brembo blanks w/ Axxis pads. No complaints here.
Also put on a new Tokico MBC.
I've got Brembo drums with oem shoes waiting to go on soon too.

Have you also considered a rotor-over-hub or 5 lug conversion?
