Default How do I add a extra siren?

I want to add a extra siren to my alarm. My alarm is a Viper500 esp. Looks simple, one red and one black but I need info. I was told a extra relay was needed to add the siren, is that true?

No, that is incorrect, just wire the red to the red and the black to the black.

Will that work: Yes. I think the relay is to protect the circuitry on the alarm brain, it may affect your warranty if you don't use one, and they are only a few dollars. I've got about 20 (bosch,DEI, etc.)spares in my tool box.

That was what I was told, a extra relay was needed to prevent the alarm brain from frying....

depending on the alarm and sirens being used and how much they need to be powered... you should be OK w/ running 2 (incl the standard/underhood) on... but if you plan on doing more your going to NEED relays to prevent any damage to the alarms brain/siren output.... relays are like $5-10 retail... even the Bosch ones...
