Default White smoke!! help diagnose

My friends GSR is pushing out white smoke from the exhaust when revving 6-8000Rpm...what could be the cause???
Mods: intank, header, cat back exhaust..
the dealership is giving him the run around saying these mods are the cause but i don't see how at all.

white smoke is usually coolant so maybe his head gasket is leaking. Are you sure that the smoke is white and not just a slight tint of blue?those mods wouldn't cause the engine to smoke....does he have a breather filter?

no breather filter..and coolant level in resvoir tank is the same..and not a tint of blue..but there has been an increasing level of oil consumption.

From the symptoms it sounds like oil consumption.....but burning oil is gernally blue.......coolant is white and unburned fuel is black...how many miles are on the engine

Coolant is the most probable cause even thorugh it is quite strance it only does it between 6000 and 8000 rpm. Might be a small hole some where that only lets some cooland pass with the high pressure generated at that rpm. Dose it continue with the engin properly warmed up and every thing?

I also thought it was coolant..engine has 35,000 miles on it with an aem cai, dc sports stainless 4-2-1, and tanabe cat back...so head gasket?? would cause it to smoke around 6000-8000Rpm...?

Most likely if he is just revving the engine and you can see white smoke it is condensation in the exhaust. I have the N1 and if I rev my engine (not moving) after she is warmed up it will sometimes have white smoke from the condensation of the exhaust. Do a Leakdown test to be sure it isn't the headgasket.

Check if you have any oil in the expansion tank or water on the dipstick, it will tell you strait away if you have a leak some where
