The other day I go to start my car, and notice a horrible sound when starting it, but it does start. After I got out of the car I went to check it out the next day, did the same thing and wouldnt start. Then I take a look at my starter and being the slack *** that I am I only put the top bolt in it anyway, and somehow the starter had actually broken the metal where the top bolt goes in, it split in half so i have a starter that only has a bolt hole now in the bottom of it. Do you think I can get by with just the one bolt in the bottom, I really dont want to buy a whole new starter, cuz the starter works just the housing is messed up.

 

might be able to get the piece welded back on and then make sure to use both bolts

 

yah that might be a good solution
its a small weld tho...equals more money
