Starter problem
So, I've been driving my car for the last month with ZERO problems. Today I go to turn the car on and it doesnt start. I pop the hood open and i see the starter bolt all the way out. Tried to bolt it back in and nothing. Seems like the threads somehow got messed up and the top of it is somewhat stripped.....
How does one fix this? Is there something I can put in to rethread the block? Purchase a new starter bolt?
Thanks HT
(This is for a k24 btw)

helicoil. or drill and tap new threads for a bolt the next size up. it'll be easier to have the starter out to make the repair.
while the starter is out, bench test it. have a look at the ring gear. the teeth may have been damaged if the starter was cocked.
