Default Exhaust manifold and wastegate flange location.

I see that some exhaust manifolds have flange for wastegate at pipe coming from 1st or 4th exhaust port (example: Drag gen 3 manifold) where others (example: Inline Pro) have flange in the middle where all 4 pipes meet.

Besides flow characteristics/hp gains, does that allow better boost control or it doesn't matter on location of wastegate?

if its closer to one cylinder, i think it will lean that cylinder out a little bit...correct?

You can possible have boost spikes if the wastegate is only on one or two runners. If the flange is where all runners meet, then the wastegate is able to control the exhaust better and less chance of boost spikes.

Summary, if you can get the manifold with the wastegate where all the runners meet.

The inline Pro makes a manifold with a Versitile T3 Flange.

What about wastegate placement such as this?

It doesnt seem that it would be the best but with the limited options I have for my set up its looking like about my only choice.

I can barely see the location of where the wastegate is hooked up too.

Not disagreeing with you on the wastegate placment on the thread you linked but it looks differnt than the one I posted pics of. of course the one I posted pics of is for an h22a so it may be differnt. I have seen three differnt places on kiwi's now for the wastegate. One on the turbo, one on the DP, and one on the 4th cyl runner. Intereesting. Thanks for the link...

There's nothing to disagree about . I was just posting a link to the pics.

wow....that thing is so much bling!

I get lost looking at where the pipes go, it just blinds me.
