Default Leaking Radiator

Anyone have a problem with the drain at the bottom center of the radiator leaking? I tried tightening it half a turn but I don't want to do any more becuase I don't want the radiator to split or anything like that. I went on Majestic honda and they have a gasket listed that apparently goes inside on that drain bolt. Has anyone replaced this?

Thanks.

It's an o-ring isn't it?

this was Honda's description "GASKET, DRAIN **** (DENSO) " I was just wondering if anyone had the same problem and if that fixed it.

Most of them have o-rings. I've seen a few that use gaskets. Either way, Honda calls them the same. Ive replaced both types. Check your plug closely, i've seen a few defective ones.

So can I assume that I should get both the plug and the gasket/0-ring? They aren't expensive at all. But the leak is getting noticeable.

Thanks!

anyone know the torque specifications of that drain bolt at the bottom of the radiator? It's plastic and I don't want to over tighten it...

Thanks in advance.

you can get a new drain plug w/ o-ring from any napa/autozone/whatever for about 3$, just take your old one to them, of coarse, you must refill the system..

5 Bucks from Honda, figured might as well get what's going to fit perfectly and they even asked which Radiator I had TOYO or Denso. But I just dont' want to over tighten it and make it leak again... anyone know if there is a rule of thumb?

also when I pull out the plug how fast will the coolant drain? I want to yank the old one and put the new one on before it all drains out. I don't know that I have a large enough catch pan.
