What ECU to use for a 92-05 civic w/ a 99 b16a2 si motor??
I was told by a few people that if I use the chipped p28 ecu to run a 99 b16a2 from a SI and put the motor in a 92 civic cx h/b that I would need the obd convertor still. because the motor is a obd2 and its still going in a obd1 vehicle. What do you guys think I should get to make this the easiest and cost efficient swap.
You can use a rechipped p28, but you do not need a converter harness.
I think the easiest way to do this swap is:
Get an obd2 gsr or itr engine harness
Get integra mounts
I dont think you can use the 99 si shift linkage, so get integra shift linkage
Use rechipped p28 ecu
Since you have a '92 (pre-wired for vtec), this would make it a plug and play affair.
I dont think Ive forgotten anything.

rechipped p28 for 92-95 plug and play....you will need to add wires though for vtechk and vtehck ground....and oil pressure switch....
96 and newer you will need a obd2 to obd1 harness...still will need rechipped p28 ecu....and add same wires....
