Default Ok! Could these codes be the culprit to my turbo whoes??

P1381 (9) Cylinder position sensor intermittent interruption
P1381 (9) Cylinder Position sensor no signal

P1337 Crankshaft flucuation sensor no signal

HERE"S THE PROBLEM!

1996 GSR OBD2

We replaced the distributor already for those of you who are wondering!

First the shop rebuilt my old one with a used one, than when that code still pulled up, they pulled one off a GSR that he owned and the code was still there. Dont' know what the hell it is

Second, well there's no signal to the crankshaft sensor cause well................ it's not hooked up, hook it up you say?

Can't, why? Because there's nothing to hook it up to, the harness is just dangling and there is no plug to connect the harness to....

We can't find it, we're thinking that the previous owner (who bought it as a theft recovery) bought an OBD1 wiring harness and made it work with an OBD2 ECU

yes?No? possible?

Help me out guys, If I can't figure this out, I"m going to have to bust out the plastic for the Hondata so that John can figure it out

From what I recall, OBD-I cars did not have the CKF sensor, so there was no provision for it in the engine wiring harness.

Hardwire the 2 to 4 wires (however many there are) from the crank angle sensor right thru the firewall, into the ECU using pins and solder/shrink wrap. Assuming you're still utilizing an OBD2 ECU you will be all set.

All you need is a wiring diagram and pinout to see what color wire goes to what ECU plug/location.

You need to figure out what you're chasing. OBD2 cars have the CKP sensor on the snout of the crank. ODB1 cars have it in the dist.

so how do I tell what engine I have? an obd1 or 2? it's hard to tell with this damn car, the crank angle sensor is just chilling by the tranny with the wires hanging there with nothing to connect to.................

'92-'95 cars are usually OBD-1, while '96 and up are usually OBD-2
