as you all know, i was selling my accord for $6800, to buy a dc2 integra. I finally got my stock exhaust, steelies, and stock stereo put back on. I work at honda and i detailed the living **** outta that car, and it was on its way to a good home. This morning i took my girlfriend to school, and well, this guy in a 02 excursion ate the whole back of my car, and pushed me into a celica's tow hitch. This means my r/l tail light assembly's cracked, trunk is pushed in 3 inches, stock spoiler is cracked in half, rear bumper is also cracked/caved in, and r/l quarter panels are smashed. The front bumper has a crack/hole from the tow hitch ball. The guy tells me to not call insurance and he'll give me his phone number to call him later to meet at a body shop, which to me is complete bullshit. I work at a honda dealership i know that is not the kind of money he has lying around for replacing everything. Cops then show up, then he starts whining that his bling bling grill is snapped in half. well, after the cops came everything went smoothly, and well insurance is called already. Just waiting on his co. to call me back so i can get this repaired ASAP. downfall is, buyer doesnt want it anymore. guess this whole thing wasnt meant to be.. and now im stuck driving around a fucked up car, and waiting for his insurance to issue me a loaner car.

 

*sniff* my h22 needs a donor.....def. not the accord now...

 

call a lawyer and get represented. Didn't you say you weren't feeling well? Your neck? There has got to be some justice in the world....sucks that you had JUST detailed the **** out of it...

 

yeah...this really stinks..my neck actually DOES hurt....ima make some phone calls, and go to a body shop for estimates. thanks for concern man...

 

Talk to the buyer and see if he will sign an affadavit to the effect that you had a deal with him for $6800 firm UNTIL the car got wrecked. See if you can get the insurance to divvy up the difference between what you would have gotten for it from the sale before it was wrecked and what your car will be worth after the accident even with repairs cause it will probably be a fair amount less. You can probably get the Sales Mgr. and Body Shop Mgr. at the dealership to help you out there. Don't let him or his insurance off easy because they'll stick it to you given half a chance.

Don't ever let anybody pull that "call me later and we'll settle" crap, "later" never comes...........

 

Sue the **** outta their insurance company. Go to the doctor and complain of neck/lower back pain. Get lots of therapy too. Those insurance bastards milk us for all we have and it's time they paid out... Sorry about the car man.

yeah, i'm seeing a doctor tomorrow afternoon, me and my girlfriend. The guy that hit us hasnt contacted his insurance, and if he doesnt, theres a high chance of me sueing him. Whats the good news? went to the Falconi Acura/Honda collision center and estimated damage is $3800. If State Farms not going to handle it properly, my dad will handle things with his lawyer as soon as he gets back in town. My parents definately want to me to buy another car, and selling the accord with stock front/rear bumper is going to be so much easier. I wish i could have bought my accord the way its going to be sold. thousands of dollars to de-rice. thanks you guys.
