turbo = power
supercharger = reliability

it really depends how much power you want. With a supercharger you're limited to 10 pounds of boost. With a turbo the sky's the limit but reliability goes down the drain.

Yeah right tell that to all those guys who blew their ringlands with the JRSC at only 7 psi!

I've seen people melt pistons with only 5 psi off a turbo. Reliability is only as good as the tuner. Both will affect engine life. You just need to decide whether you care about 12 sec time slips, if the answer is Yes Go turbo! If you want something that will easily move you in and out of traffic and you can still take to the track and produce decent times Get the Sueprcharger.

Correct me if i'm work but a prelude with just a greddy intercooled kit at 7 psi will make less whp then a JRSC'd prelude at 6psi.

208whp was the figure for a non-intercooled '97 Prelude running Greddy on Preludeonline. So with an intercooler I'd say the Greddy kit with intercooler should be about even with a JRSC.

yes, that is true about the greddy and jrsc - greddy has close-loop exhaust/wastegate, and i believe that dyno was done w/o front mount because greddy kit doesn't come w/ one standerd. it is a $1100 option.

it depends on the trim sizes of your turbo, if you dont have the right ar trims then your turbo can stop producing more power at a certain hp, reguardless of the boost pressure.

it's like a 57 or 60 trim, it's pretty big for the size turbo

You can actually go upto 12 pounds with stepper pulley's made by Endyn....oh course they do recmmend that you have the blower reworked by them, with is kinda expensive.

You would also need to drop there "blue box" to raise the boost which would need a standalone to replace, but well worth it.

turbo, like everyone said its in the tuning for reliabilty...so you say you want good low end power...get a correct sized smaller turbo, spool quick. in the future you have a lot more options.

hey boosted97, how much longer before she sees the road? i know you cant wait, i cant. its been forever since we broke/bent our valves. Mine should be on the road within the month...i hope
