code 45 fuel system problems
got a friend w/ a 2000 civic si w/ aem cai, dc headers, n1 catback, aem fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator, fuel presure gauge, and also has a vafc.. his car is throwing code 45 and honda said it is running too rich, what do we have to adjust and or reset to get rid of the ecu code?? can we lean it out using the vafc? adjust the fuel regulator? oh yea and he also said he isnt getting a great of gas mileage as before
It seems like the obvious answer is to lower the fuel pressure a bit. It's probably a bit too far out of spec and thus the ECU freaked.
Keep in mind that the OBD2 ECU in the Si makes changing fuel curves a bit trickier. It makes camgear settings next to impossible.
OBD2 licks my ***.
