How did you manage that?!?! Isn't that thing forged? What do you think caused it?

Sorry bout all the questions! I've been wanting to try this for a while, but I keep getting different answers. My logic tells me that it should work cause Honda actually built one for the Accord R. Everybody keeps referring to the r/s ratio but theres ways around the extra wear. Plus, r/s ratios aren't the only thing figure you can rely on to know wheather or not an engine will work.

I dunno man it's not opened up yet...but it's definitely fucked!

The H23 VTEC was not in the accord R, it was in the accord wagon.

What you don't know about the Accord H23 VTEC is what the actual internal of the H23 block is. Fact is, this block is likely NOT much like the H23 block which was discontinued about 4-5 years before the H23 VTEC came back in the wagon. I would suggest Honda did a couple of things to improve the Rod/Stroke of the engine. I'm adding another post about my F20B rods that should shed some light on what they did.

The short form of my theory is that the rod journal is actually smaller than an H22a in order to run a longer rod.

Hm... I just remembered something.. You said your crank broke.. Was your balance shaft belt hooked up? Cause I remember reading on h22a.org that one of their motor's crankshaft broke cause of the balance shaft.. Wonder if that could be related. Just a thought.

Really? That's very odd....well the balancer belt was hooked up...but it was all out of whack once the timing belt skipped...
