USDM engines into REX?
This is what I know about: ZC's
This is what I don't know about: b16's, b18x's, h22's etc
So, that being said. If I were looking for an USDM engine that is faster then the ZC to put in my rex, what is a good starting point. I'm thinking of something easy to get(plentiful) but with more umph then the ZC?
Yes, I'm goint to use the "search" function...I just need a general direction to start looking in....as I said.... "This is what I don't know about: b16's, b18x's, h22's etc"

Turbo ZC
For the price of one of the other swaps, you could build a good bottom end on the ZC and boost the crap out of it. And still have change left to buy
for the friends that helped you install everything. Keep with the LOTEC powah.

i see it as, the bigger the better. get something that is dohc. b16 ef's are common, but if your looking into more power, go for h22,b18c1, b18c5, etc. turbo ls is a nice combo.
I'm really just looking for something that I can go down to the junkyard, take out of a USDM car, and swap in. I like the idea of a turbo for my ZC but hey, the way I drive and the miles I put on, it that might not last that long...(I deliver pizzas). So when this engine bites it, I want to go with something different. Nopt that I don't like the ZC, I just like to learn new things.
Redbaron suggested the B18 (LS). What are the specs on that one? How much do they run in $$$'s?

LS is closer to the ZC than any of the other engines you mentioned. Its DOHC non-VTEC. And like you mentioned, its something you could go to the local junkyard and pull out of a USDM teggy.

Thanks for all the rsponses. I think for now I'm going to research a LS swap. I found some specs for a 94' lS 142HP and 127lb-ft....much better then the ZC 130HP and108ft-lb.
on www.car-part.com I found an engine and trany for $1100.00 Not bad if you ask me.

No replacement for displacement. Suggest you drop a B20 not a LS. Cost about 300 more and you get a lot more torque. Same size to so there is no difference in fitment issues.
