Default O2 sensor placement ?

Just wondering where the best place to put the sensor. I've been told that the closer to the turbo the better (like close to the flange on the dp) or that it should be farther.

The stock one?
I would be careful with the your turbo puts off some hot gases out of it and you might burn it up if it doesn't normally go up there. I would prolly want to put it where it normally goes, it won't be very accruate either way if you've ever taken a look at the stock O2 Voltage vs A/F ratio graph, it pretty much only knows either above 14.7 or really rich.
I placed my Greddy A/F sensor about 6-inch from my turbo outlet, which makes it visable from the front of the motor.

If it were an EGT, then closer to the head as possible. But an o2 will read the air to fuel the same if its closer to the turbo or farther back.

the sensor is for a wideband o2. So, would you say that the sensor would get burned up being that close to the turbo? Also, do I need my primary o2 sensor if im going to use an aem ems? I dont want to have to weld a bunge, unless I have to. Figure I would just pu the wideband sensor there.

I would agree that closer to the turbo is better if you are placing it after the turbo. I don't think it matters that much, but it will warm up more quickly and stay hotter. It needs to be a certain temperature to work right.

My FJO says 18 inches after the collector or turbo. Mine is right in front of the stock sensor location.
