Idling really high and stalls when stop and engine hot but radiator is cold. Was running perfectly fine for two days until I changed the terminals. I checked all the wiring and the fuses. Reset the ecu. Did a coolant flush. But still running really poorly. I think it’s the thermostat or the iacv but I don’t know

 

Hi hopefully you’ve been able to fix the issue since it’s been a month from you posting it but I would definitely go with your hunches first as those seem like the most likely issue. I know as for my EF when it’s hot outside or when my engine gets hot the gas pedal (more likely the throttle cable/throttle body) starts sticking and keeping my car at a very high idle which may also be the case for yours. I think it also really depends on what engine you have in your car as well as what all has been done to it that you know of or that you’ve done yourself, hopefully this reply finds you well, you also have a very well kept and nice looking EF
