Does anyone know what the purpose of sensor shown in photo A is? It measured 3.5 K ohms so it appears to be in working order. This sensor has only two pins.
Photo A:
Does anyone know the purpose of the 4K ohm sensor shown in photo B below?
The sensor with the green connector is probably a temp sensor and it appears to be bad since it measured infinite ohms.
I've had a hunting idle problem for years and wunder if the green connector sensor being bad could be the culprit?
Both of the aforementioned sensors shown below have two pins each.
To my knowledge.....!st picture is Intake air temperature sensor (verified if the wire colors are red/yel and grn/wht)
2nd picture is the engine coolant temperature sensor for the fuel computer. (verified if the wire colors are yel/grn and grn/wht)
and the one near the radiator hose is fan temp sensor B. (wht/grn and black) I know this one is for the fans, but there are 2 switches for the fans to ground the relays.

notsoclose,
Do you know the purpose of the 1.9K ohm sensor (red arrow)?
It has only one wire and it's red. The resistant is that of the sensor relative to chassis ground.
