Default Car won’t move after rear main job/shows Speedo shows 5mph not moving

Hi all. Recently decided to take on a rear main job on my civic as it had took a ****. This would be my first removal and reinstall of a transmission ever so I’m still learning. After I did my rear main I torqued my bolts to 76ftlbs flywheel and 19ftlbs clutch. I get everything bolted down and I go to start my car and put it in gear but it won’t move. When I hold my clutch down my Speedo goes to 0 but in neutral not moving it goes up to 5 mph. I put it in first with the car off and it still rolls on a hill. I assume it’s my axles but like I said I’m still learning so don’t dog me too bad😂

Make sure you bolted the shift linkage, especially the “bitch” pin. Did you installed the throw out bearing and clutch fork correctly?

shift linkage is bolted correctly. I can hear the tranny shifting through the gears with the car off, and yes I assume the tob and clutch fork are installed correctly as I had not removed them from my transmission during removal. Also liked to note that if I throw the car into 2nd gear while running the mph goes from 0-8 instead of the normal 5 as if I was in first or neutral with no clutch engaged. I have a non lsd b16a2 trans so I’m just stumped lol. I plan on looking at it again tomorrow just wanted to get the idea on what I’d be looking for

You don't have an axle plugged in.

Speed is from the differential turning so everything to that point is working.

I agree. Make sure your axles are inserted completely into the transmission/differential.
