Default D16y7 Automatic Transmission jerks into 1st gear

Ive got a 1999 Civic Lx sedan automatic with 240,000 miles. Recently the transmission has been giving me trouble. Ive owned the car for about 6 months after I bought it from an auction. I’ve noticed about 2 months ago that when driving up to say a red light and slowing down to about 10mph, the light turns green and I step on the gas a little bit to get back up to speed, the car will sometimes jerk. It might only do it once a day if say I drive it multiple times that day. It wont do it all the time. Anyways, today its doing something else. If I come to a complete stop, and I press the throttle around 35% percent or more, it revs up to 2300~ rpm then shakes 2-3 times really fast, and then drives fine. Its still in first gear when idling but it acts like im riding the clutch if it was a manual, and then dropping the clutch once it gets to 5mph. But it jerks so hard it feels like im missing the rear motor mount. If I press the throttle any less then say 35%, it takes off just fine with no jerk. But nobody wants to get passed by a moped. I have a 900 mile road trip planned for next month so im trying to figure out whats wrong with it asap. I have an old y7 with an automatic transmission that I could take parts off of or just swap entirely but that takes time and I dont want to do all the work for some solenoid or something. Idk if the transmission fluid has ever been changed or not. Color is a deep red it might have to much fluid? But its never gave me a problem since now. And no, im not manual swapping a d16y7 Lx sedan. If anyone has any ideas on what it is please lmk. Thanks.
