Stereo Noise / Pulses when car running HELP!
Hey All,
I have an aftermarket stereo in my 2006 Honda Civic Sports which was working great and suddenly now has developed a pulsing noise and whine/static out of nowhere.
Everything was working perfect, I pulled up in the driveway, turned the car off, and 10 minutes later turned it back on to have the interference which then caused the aftermarket speaker amp to go into protection mode, but the noise is still there.
I checked the connections, and unplugged the RCA cables from the amp, but the noise is still there.
Also removed the remote power wires from both speaker amp and sub amp and again the noise is still there, just less.
The other interesting thing is the main noise is a series of pulses that get faster with acceleration, and at very low acceleration I can hear the gap between pulses, and if I spot the car at the right spot the noise is either gone, or constant, making me think it's picking up pulses from a wheel sensor or something.
First question is, is there a dash speaker that could be picking this up, because it sounds like it's coming from that speaker rather than the door speakers.
It's still making the noise with the headunit powered off and amps not powered up.
Secondly where might I start looking for a dodgy/degraded connection?
The stereo install used the factory wiring with an adaptor for the power, acc, ground and antenna wires, and for the speakers and amp I ran new wires to all replacement speakers, power for the amps direct from battery with 0ga wire, and ground to chassis in the boot, as well as fresh amp remote power wire. I soldered and heatshrinked all connections, and I've pulled the headunit out to check and confirm all the wires are undamaged.
It feels like it's an issue separate from the stereo install, and the stereo / dash speaker is just the detection of something else going on.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I see no-one has chimed in yet. I did some further testing and noticed the noise goes away when I open the driver door. This seems even stranger to me.
As far as I know the only thing that would occur when opening the door is the door open swtich would open the circuit and let the car know the door is open.
Assuming this works the same as any other car door, when the door is closed, the circuit is then closed and ground signal is sent to the body control module / convenience center or whatever these cars have.
