D16y7 into a 99 civic Auto/Manual swap
Hello, I bought a 99 civic sedan Auto shell from a friend, the only thing taken out was the engine and transmission,
i bought a z6 manual swap (only thing being used by that currently is the transmission)
I bought a d16y7 found a full harness for it and distributor.
after swapping around a few ecus i forget which was the orginal but i know a p2e a12 is the d16y7 manual ecu.
I got everything together but my fuel pump isn't priming, all my grounds are good but the issue i believe I may be having is a i have an harness from a 96-98 and i read on another forum that the ecu ground cable is different. Is this true? Do i need to get an 99 harness? I would use the original harness i had for the car but i am not the brightest at this and cut the injector wires for the z6 … a lot happened there. And idk exactly which black and yellow wires go exactly to where on the pinout… so i don't want to mess that up wiring that back together… unlesss it doesnt matter which those goes to but in a diagram i’ve seen i noticed the grounds have direct locations for the injectors.
also the shift linkage is in. I know i have to swap around a few wires for reverse lights and stuff like that but I wanna get the fuel pump priming and the car running first…. I also am missing 1 of the sensors ton the clutch peddle so if theres any information on the wiring to that as well I’d appreciate it. Thank you
