Default Newly Rebuild B16A on Honda Civic EG 1993

Hi guys,

I have rebuild engine and all water coolant system is new. All car running Well, only I have one issue.
IN Summer my Coolant Temp goes up to 95-97c while idling with Aircond is on. If the car is moving temp goes down to 89c or below. When aircond is off it goes down to 89c as well when stop. And my Radiator hose is quite hard after driving around. Fees like pressurised.

I have changed thermostat to 78c, and fan switch changed to 85c from 93c. And I bypass all the hoses at throttle body and iacv. Gasket is new as well so far no leak. Or water won't overflow the expansion tank.

Any one can guide me on this? Or advise me what I need to check.... Thank you and Appreciate it.

How hot is the ambient temp when you see 97c?

Did you flush the rest of the cooling system (rad, dash core)?

Radiator new? Maybe insufficient quality?

Aftermarket exhaust manifold? Maybe too close to radiator?

I assume you bled it well? Maybe try a bleed kit/funnel system to make sure all air is out.

Hi , thank you for the reply btw.

Ambient Temp at my place during afternoon is around 34-38c.

Full cooling system brand new premix coolant .

Radiator is oem stock.

I had bled well, keep the cap open for almost 30mins or so on. it does not over heat but even after all well bled, some minor bubble still going on but foremen said its not gasket leak.... thermostat i did changed new as well. cuz the car is just rebuilt according to spec. so i opt out the possibilities of gasket burnt.

This is my overview setup

My radiator is short type, not the long type. extractor is away from radiator.
