Motor mount leaking fluid when turned upside down
Stripped the engine bay and deep cleaned parts. The driver's side motor mount leaked a lot of fluid when I was rinsing it off and lightly abrading it with a toothbrush. Should I be concerned about reinstalling it? Doesn't seem to leak unless I press on it.
UPDATE: After further inspection I found the small hole in the rubber boot that is leaking oil. I'm tempted to patch it with rubber roof lap sealant. However, not sure if that will last and have read about fluid leaking and permanently damaging paint on the frame so is probably not worth risking. These parts are very expensive to replace. I would think refurbishing them would be a good business, since it's just the simple rubber piece which appears to have failed, for $200.

Thanks. Speaking of this hydraulic mount, does anyone know the torque specs? I'm working from the shop manual but there is not "side engine mount" anywhere. Thank you.
