So my Civic EP1 has been dead for over a month now. It silently died while parking and won't start again. Turns over just fine, but never starts. No CEL or codes with OBD reader. And yes, the CEL light is working...



- Fuel pump & pressure OK and I'm getting fuel to the spark plugs.

- Checked all relevant fuses.

- Checked voltage and ground at each and every ignition coil. Brand new coils and plugs.

- Checked timing and replaced crankshaft sensor while I was in there. No difference.

- Immobilizer seems OK according to the dashboard symbol.


Any tips? I'm lost.

 

What was the fuel pressure ? You said you checked it

 

It was around 40 psi, as it should be. The car isn't producing any spark - using starter fluid while cranking does nothing at all.

If you check for injector pulse and there's none it could be a bad crank sensor . I got one from nipa that lasted a week
