Heh, true colors show huh ? just saw this in drag racing action mag ... apparently inside sources said that summit sales in sport compact products showed no improvement despite their sponsor with NHRA sport compact series ... well of course morons, give it time to mature and give racers a discounted price then maybe you'll make alot more sales...

thats why I just use Jegs ...

YEah and it would help for them to send the correct parts when ordered. They sent my the wrong MSD Blaster Cap twice and the wrong KYB Struts. Sales people are not very knowledgable about imports.

I have ordered a few things from Summit and everything was fine. I would not have bought from them if they weren't an NHRA sponsor...so it worked on at least 1 person....ha ha

I hope they stick with it because they are able to get parts out to me very fast. Its kinds nice when you are in a crunch for a race. But if someone else sponsors NHRA...I will buy from them.

Why you don't better prices because of their sponsorship of NHRA?

They also sell a lot of crappy import products products. the only thing good there is the crower rods. if they sold stuff we actually use maybe they'd get somewhere.

Looking over Summit Sport Compact catalog is like looking over those rice ads in "Import Tuner" or "Honda Tuner." Pretty lame. But I do throughly enjoy reading the domestic catalog and at the same time realizing that domestic people pay half as much for a identical part, better quality.

They are better off sponsoring "hi rev tuners" and those other bs shows. That`s their target market.

true. but, out of all the online stores i've ordered from, by far, they have the best prices, good customer service and extremely fast shipping. i would receive my orders in 2-3 days max

Parts I've ordered from Summit in the last 2 years or so:

K&N E-2427 drop-in for Integra

Iceman cool air system for 99-00 SI

Intake heat wrap, MSD wires, and, valve cover breather

Ram clutch, Crane wires, and, Weapon R SRI for 88 Teg

ALl of these were separate orders that were delivered promptly and the right parts came in the box. So I can only give Summit a

dont know if i could have said it better myself greg. im glad the bandwagon jumpers r on the "out". id rather have a japanese company sponsor it, like thats goin to happen.
on a side note though. i bet if u look up half the posts on summit u would see 80% of these idiots that answered prolly have ordered and said they would order from summit again. u guys r the true bandwagon jumpers.
i use JEGS too. id rather pay the extra $2 per item to NOT SUPPORT SUMMIT and their **** riceboy products. in fact i just placed a $600 order to JEGS last week.

just because you have a preference of ordering from JEGS than Summit doesn't mean the people who order from summit are bandwagoners. I for one, like Summit's customer service and prompt shipping. i don't necessarily like everything in their catalog, but, the things i'm looking for are fairly priced, such as NGK plug wires and other small items.

I never really did like summit anyways. It seems they don't have alot of brands, they don't have a variety of "Performance" part. They sell every damn brand of tail lights, underbody lights etc. But Only one brand of pistons and rods???Only form of forced induction they sell is nitrous and the vortech supercharger they have alot more apperance parts that performance stuff.

They do ship stuff out fast thought. I ordered a shift light and oil pressure guage and it got to my house in 2 days and i didn't order 2 day shippin

They can get just about any part jeg's can,i usually use the jeg's catalog, site and part #s(just leave off the 1st three numbers) to order from summit because they seem to be better (the catalog and site not the company) i just ordered an Aeromotive Regulator from summit by using jegs part #027-13109 because that part was nowhere to be found in the summit catalog. Also they carry more than one brand of pistons and rods, they can get JE,SRP,Arias,Manley,Crower,Eagle etc and you can even order custom pistons(from the likes of JE,Arias,Ross and Manley) if you have all the specs,as for the turbo stuff,i dont see jegs selling turbos and turbo kits, they both get a for that.

That's because they don't have any street classes. They need to get in the street class racers if they want to make some money on the ads.
