Default Valve work advice needed!

Ok, looking for some experience from people who have done valve work. This is my first shot at it and it's painfully slow. Also, I've noticed some issues. My two part question is...

1. How vital is it to get EVERYTHING off the valves? Getting the carbon buildup around the stamping on the face is burning through my batteries. The seats are nice and clean. I'm soaking the valves in brake clean then putting them in my drill and running them over a red scuff pad to remove the build up.

2. I noticed some pitting (see last two pics) on the intake side. Is that acceptable levels or do I need to drop more money on new valves? If so, how do I go about selecting the correct valves outside of 36mm for intake and 30mm for exhaust. ('07 K24A2). There are so many choices on Supertech that it makes me head spin.

Current setup is...
'07 K24A2 with stock 6 speed manual
DC 2.2 cams
Supertech Dual Valve Spring 92 psi @ 40.4mm lift
Comes with the standard Supertech Titanium retainers
50 degree VTC pinned to 40 degrees
Type S oil pump conversion
ARP head studs
RBC intake manifold and TB
Jackspania exhaust manifold for EK swap
2.5 inch exhaust

Just looking for a strong, peppy daily driver that I take to the occasional autocross event.

With the pitting on the seat area I would vote for new valves and a proper valve job on the head.
