Default Won't start issue (kinda weird)

Hello all. Long time listener, first time call.... oh wait. I have a 89 Honda Civic LX. I had the timing belt break when I was turning a corner. Was only doing about 3 miles an hour, and believe it or not, I think I got majorly lucky. I replaced the belt, and put everything back together. Car started fine at first and purred like a brand new kitten. I then heard something I guess you could describe as grinding. The tension pulley nut for the compressor, wasn't tightened enough, and came off, as the pulley went cockeyed. I immediately turned the car off and checked to see the crooked pulley with no nut. I decided to eliminate the compressor to see if the car was good since the timing belt incident. It again tried to start just fine, but I heard another "clunk" (which I believe was the little cover of the pulley being thrown out of the engine well) to which I immediately shut it off again. When I tried to start again, it cranks just fine but just will not fire. I have no clue what happened and I thought I'd throw this up here and see if anyone had any ideas. Did a pretty throurough check around the engine, distributor, pulleys, starter, and pump. Saw nothing that looked bad/broken/out of place. If I can gleen some thoughts from you all, I'd be grateful. If not, then I still thank you all for your time. By the way, this is my first Honda, and am a car DIY guy, but not yet a Honda guy.
I have confirmed the crank and cam are turning, and I believe this confirms my belt is not broken (again).

Have you looked at the spark plugs for any damage?

When you reinstalled the timing cover and harmonic balancer, did you make sure you reinstalled the woodruff key? It's a little metal piece that makes sure the crankshaft timing gear doesn't slip. If it's missing, it'll slowly slip and kill your timing.
