Ek Hatch DC2 Trailing Arm Swap Help
Hello all, I have a 98 ek hatch. Im going to be doing the dc2 trailing arm swap in the rear so I can have disc all around as is a common thing. I have the parts and was primarily waiting to do ITR calipers on the front with mini cooper rotors. My main question is whether anyone has specifically done just the full ITR brake swap. For the front I'll be swapping to the 2000 ITR master cylinder which is 15/16. If I get the dc2 trailing arm, purchase remanufactured rear ITR calipers and just put in a ITR proportioning valve as well it should run proper right? I'm the second owner of it and the original owner did nothing with it, I race it for autocross so having enough braking to grow into is definitely important. Any and all information is helpful. Obviously there will have to be other things to support but my only concern really is just interchangeability.
I do know as well that the proportioning valve for the ek is suited for all four disc whether it came with it or not however ITR calipers may be different.
ITRs have ABS and the proportioning is built into the ABS module. Just stick with your stock valve. I've done the math, and ITR brakes static brake bias isn't too different from the other Integra & Civic system. Just a touch more rear bias than most. In fact the small 4-wheel discs on 92-95 si we're MORE rear biased than any of the OEM setups.
I have the 98 cx, you're saying if I swap to itr caliper front and itr caliper in rear, my stock proportioning valve will still have the correct if not similar bias?
You should be fine, the CX should have the same prop valve as the EM1 and DX.
Never figured out why the EX has a different one, but Im running ITR fronts and regular Integra rears and outside of probably a little more front bias, have no issues yet...wom't be autocrossing it until later this month to see how it is, but it should be an upgrade over a leaking rear drum...

Unsure of the difference though, and a friend had the ITR piece and I swapped that and the ABS ECU when I did my brakes a few years ago.
