Manual civic ran fine then wouldn't start over night
Car was running and driving fine. Nothing to indicate trouble. I parked it and next morning lights came on but it wouldn't turn over. I've replaced the starter and battery is brand new. My clutch does stick now which it didn't do before. I have to use my foot to pop it back out Everytime. What should I check next? I have seen some posts about the clutch safety switch. Could that be it?
If the clutch interlock/starter switch pad on the clutch pedal is broken and has fallen out on the floor... you will get NO sound (not even a click) when you turn the key and attempt to start the car. This would explain why it was fine yesterday and not fine now. If you see some dark blue pie or cone shaped parts of plastic on the floor... you have found the problem that I described above. The clutch pedal staying on the floor when you depress it is a totally separate issue. Check the fluid level in the clutch fluid reservoir, and if it is low/empty, search for where it is leaking.
