1995 v6 AT with what I believe to be a faulty TCM. Car runs great, has never stalled under any circumstances. Bad check valve inside pump I think as it usually needs a few primes before starting after sitting for a day or two. Changed gauge assembly recently (which means I had to disconnect the dash, radio which is aftermarket, etc), sometime later I started getting a D4 blink at position II and crank no start. First time this happened, a battery reset took care of it. Ran fine for weeks. Several weeks later, right as the weather changed to summer heat - crank no start again, fuel pump activates but doesn’t prime, CEL stays on at 2 position, D4 blink comes on with a single code 14. Main relay is good, ignition switch is good, injectors, pump, spark, VSS, fuses, alternator, battery, all good. Unplugged TCM and replugged. Problem gone. Fuel pump primed again, relay clicks, CEL off after few seconds, start right up. Works for 3 starts then goes back to crank no start issue. Tried to unplug and replug TCM again, nothing. Put it in a freezer for 2 hours at the advice of some past posts on the forum, plugged in and started right up. Next day (today) back to crank no start. I try switching gears in II and cycling through transmission, cranking in other positions, no change.
I know (but please let me know if you have other insight) I need a new TCM but need to get to work and while I’m waiting (local pull a part has no 94/95 accords with a TCM still there).
Is there anything I can do to inspect the actual board, locate a problem area based on what I mentioned?
This is a pic of the board. I can’t see any visible burns or spills or breaks. I’m no expert in boards. If anyone has an area, circuit or resistor you think I should take a look at, please let me know! Thank you so much. I also heard computer duster works sometimes..?
