Default b18c1 crx overheating and code questions

Hey guys so i am new here and i tried my best to find information on this topic but it was kind of difficult, so heres my problems. I just recently swapped a b18c1 into my honda crx base and i just got the car running. engine is a fresh rebuild sort of and this is my first time doing anything like this so i understand because it is a rebuild i need to change the oil right after i start it. but i revved the car after it warmed up to only 3k rpm and a bunch of smoke came out of the exhaust. (I have open headers right now) is it just because of the rebuild or should i be worried?

I also have a p28 chipped s300 ecu and its throwing code 11 on my dash.

another thing is i believe the car is overheating. ive seen things on the internet say smoke out the exhaust could be overheating and code 11 was for overheating but i need some confirmation, i am running a dual core skunk2 alpha radiator and i current only have one fan on the passenger side of the radiator because the other fan i have doesnt fit with my exhaust headers. Is this set up not enough to keep the car cool? i also watched the temperature on my computer and it kept climbing very slowly, it got up to 198 before i turned it off and stopped because i dont know lol i got scared.

please any help is appreciated and i would like this thing to run perfect if i can thank you

198 is not overheating. Check the overheat protection value on the "Protection" tab in the S300. Also, check what code the S300 is showing.

I trigger overheat protection at 220F. The fan generally is set to kick on around 200F. Personally, I keep the car between 180 and 190. If you are running on the thermocouple for fan engagement and not the ECU, then you have no control of when the fan will engage.

Make sure to properly burp the cooling system and run a quality thermostat. You shouldn't have too much trouble but might be better running a half-rad so that your fan is cooling evenly. Make sure the fan is coming on when it should or set it to come on at a lower temp if it concerns you.

I am running the s2 alpha half-rad with a 12" spal puller fan and it works great.
