Introduction
Good afternoon folks! I like to join forums for each car I drive...been driving this 2003 Honda Civic for the past 5 years and I'm surprised it's running as good as it is for what it's been through!
I'm not a systems engineer, but I play one at work. I maintain the fleet, program ladder logic for automation, maintain machines(my official title is maintenance manager), take care of power needs at the plant and build machines when there is a need. Basically I'm a glorified millwright.
So I'm here to read and talk about the Honda Civics. Mine has over 200K on it, and still purrs like a kitten. Had a small leak at the rear main, but I fixed that. Wife overheated the car which cracked cyl 1 and cyl 4 ports at the exhaust manifold and threw the intake valves WAAAAY out of adjustment. Did a valve lash adjustment and welded the exhaust manifold and now she is quiet again. Don't get me wrong, she's a beater, not much to look at, but for the moment, mechanically sound. Sounds better than the 2010 Nissan Versa I just bought my wife that only has 100K on it!
Anywho, just wanted to say "hi" to all you folks. Happy mechanicing!
