Is anyone able to assist me with the possible or likely cause of an ATF leak on a 2009 Honda FRV 1799cc petrol automatic. I will attach a picture of where the only obvious pooling of oil is. For a bit of background, a few months ago I changed out two transmission sensors and the transmission filter due to shifting issues. I also did a long overdue oil change at the same time. This solved the shifting issues. However, a leak appears to have now occurred. I don't think it is the sensors, sump plug or filter as over time the oil is draining down alot.
The only obvious location where it is pooling is underneath the air filter near to where I replaced one of the sensors. It feels dry around the sensor, so I wonder if it is leaking somewhere around the plate on top of the casing which has a sensor attached. I dont know what this part is so any help would be appeciated. Picture attached shows me pointing to where the oil collects.
Appreciate Not sure what this plate/ part is, connected by 4 bolts with a sensor attached but could the gasket be the cause. It sits under the air filter assembly on the top of the casing. I could try retightening the 4 bolts, if anyone knows what torque setting to use? I am pointing to where the oil pools. This is the only place where the oil collects/ pools. From here it drips down underneath to the bottom housing by ATF sump plug
any advice.
