Default 97 civic

Hi guys/gals.. My sons little civic non-vtec is driving me crazy, were in montana and 10 days ago it got 25 below and he got home from work with the car running great and his car hasn't started again since! i pulled all the plugs then plugged them into the wires and layed them on the v-cover to ground them to test for a spark and only the outside plugs had a spark twice then nothing, so a really nice guy at the parts house said to try a this brand new tech almost 300. new dist to see if the coil or anythings wrong with dist, same thing no spark.. plugs are wet with gas, i'm getting power to the plug where the dist plugs into, all fuse's light up, ignition switch ?? i have not taken a compression test because it was running great when turned off.. always started right up and never got hot ? any help with this would be great. thanks

I had a 97 civic back in the day and I had a similar situation where the ignitor stopped working. Ericthecarguy has a video on this if you want to check it out

well update time.. I took this damn thing appart after going to all the shops in Missoula and was told except for 1 guy that probably the CPS so i did the dirty deed and took it appart and put a new one on from import direct! after putting it on i just set the valve cover on put the plug wires on to see if it would start and it started right up, let it run for 10-20 seconds and turned it off because it was late and cold. went out there this morning put it all back together and same blank'n thing no start! what the hell!! so i'm going to see if for some reason someone came in the middle of the night and stole the spark. I just don't get it! any opinions would be great. just checked again getting spark to plugs, power to injectors, plenty of gas. so power is going through the ignition to dist/coil, out to plugs and injector plugs have power.. new CPS, the main relay should be working right ? lastnight when it ran for 10-20 seconds it sounded good until i turned it off.. i'm really stumped on this one. thanks
