Intermittent miss or low power that goes away with a restart
My 2015 I4M6 4-door Accord has an intermittent problem. It will occasionally 'stutter' and then continue on normally or, it will miss under a light load like going up hill in 6th gear at ~2,000 RPM. Sometimes the check engine light comes on sometimes not. Generally, it will go into a 'limp mode' after this with a hard RPM limit of 3,000 RPM with low power so, slight uphill grades may be 35MPH in 4th gear. If I stop and then restart the car, it is like nothing ever happened.
My car has 125K miles with newish spark plugs (OEM) with about 10K miles on them. The air filter is good and I'm about halfway through my oil change life at the moment. The Fuel Injectors were professionally cleaned about 30K miles back.
OBDII scans reveal nothing. I really don't know where to start. Weak spark? Emissions issue? Failing fuel injector? Valve train or VTEC problem?
What would be a good real-time monitor to catch this intermittent problem?
TIA,
Sid
