I have verified no extra resistance between center pin and a yellow with blue tracer wire at pin location b10 at the ecu. I opened the ecu case and have a picture of the insides. Nothing looks obviously terrible or bad looking at all. It is a remanufactured ecu. Where would I verify the signal wire for continuity?
I am going to chase the wiring harness starting at the o2 sensor and see if I can’t figure out where there is a short. Are there any common areas for shorts to happen? Is this something a new harness and sub harness would fix?
Ok tracked down more pin outs for this circuit. I tested continuity from speed sensor to c126 plug pins 5 and 6 and am good one side goes to fuse 24 and the other to the cluster. Atleast according to all data wiring diagram. I have several plugs not plugged in under the dash. Can anyone tell me what they would go to? Car was auto and has been swapped so may not need to be plugged in.
Found plug c435. I have continuity between c126 and c435 for signal to the dash. I have an open reading between c435 and c511 at the cluster. Super short run of wire to be shorted. I will see if I can see anything obvious.
I can really use some help! Pulled the dash harness up checked continuity again before I ripped into the harness and all checked good. What else can I check? Currently I have continuity on all paths of the VSS circuit, I am getting 9v for power to the sensor and 11.xx on the signal side of sensor with out moving the wheel. I am lost here.
