Cooling Fan Requirements, 2001 Accord
I have a 2001 Accord I am putting back on the road that has been off for a few months. The car runs great, but neither of the cooling fans are coming on.
1 - Fans have been checked individually and they both work if connected directly to the battery.
2 - I have tried the manual start of the fans when you turn the key switch on and turning the AC fan into one of the positions 1,2,3 & 4 - No Response..
3 - Also the AC is not functioning. Is it a requirement that the AC be up and fully charged for both fans to work?.
4 - I have done relay swaps in the fuse box - No Response.
5 - I have checked the 2 - 20 amp fuses under the hood and the 7.5 amp fuse on the drivers - recommended in other post.
6 - I have swapped the Radiator Fan Switch from another 2001 Accord - both switches are functioning fine.
Is the Radiator Fan function dependent on the AC being fully up and functioning??? This thought would seem odd, if your AC fails your cars cooling system is at risk which could cause you to damage your motor! ! !
What have I missed? Input appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for your reply . . . No, but I am not looking to find out. I know something is not right. We have 2 - 2001 Accords, a DX and an EX. One functions perfectly and the other has this fan issue.
