Default cooling system question

Hey all,
I have a tucked radiator on my 91 Civic STD that I will be using for track days and autocross. When I built it, I just put an inline filler in the upper coolant hose. I am looking at the two options below to replace it. what benefits would there be to spending a little extra on the one with the fill pot? Does anyone have first hand experience with either of these? Engine is B16a3. Thanks!

Let me re-phrase that then- its a scirocco sized dual pass aluminum radiator without the provision for a cap

No bueno? should I spend the money on a DA rad instead of messing with filler necks and pots??

I have to agree with Kaan.
Tracking and autoX we tend to purposely build vs saving room.
Ive seen many B16's in just about everything. The EF is no exception. There is room for a two to three row half rad or if you get inventive and have some welding skills you can go as large as a integra dual core.
Under my hood is a B16A from a jdm SiRII. standard header size nothing fancy and of course a Mishimoto Integra radiator.
I oversized on purpose, nothing gives the engine more cooling that that monster of a rad, and with one 12 inch fan the car never sees the high side of maybe 205 even on the hottest of track days. I could add a second smaller fan but its not necessary. The tucked rad doesn't have the area size to adequately cool the motor IMO others might disagree. Never blown a head gasket or never had one cooling issue in 8 years so far.

okay if this is the case... i personally would go with the swirl pot because it should eliminate the need to use the funnel system to burp.

Ehhh well you are not wrong but the with enough R&D "help" you can get it to work. It is tough to run a larger plenum ITM and a full sized radiator without TB/TPS contact issues. Simple solution is to change the location of the neck and move it out of the way. Though it is really nice to have access and extra space with the tucked radiator.
