Ek B swap Wiring
Hi all, this is my first time posting to hondatech. I have a 96 civic cx hatch with a 96 b18b1. I bought a wiring harness off ebay for obd2 and the ecu side plugs are obd1. In the description it states that it did not come with the shock tower plugs, which on the ek, it is part of the full harness. What should i do about this, and what is the function of the shock tower plug. The harness also didn’t come with a power steering pressure switch plug, is there a way for me to retain that? Also, near the ecu there is a green plug for the chassis, i believe it’s for obd2. On the new harness there is a 20 pin plug that doesn’t fit onto it. Can I just leave it hanging?
When I swapped a B18b into my ek decades ago - I dont recall purchasing an engine harness. I just jused my D16y7 engine harness and may have extended a few plugs. It was direct plug and play after that.
Sounds like you purchased an integra engine harness which will not natively work in a 97-00 civic chassis.
