D15b7 w/p06 Ecu stuck in limp mode rebuilt dizzy, help
Hello everyone I have a d15b7 I just rebuilt, matched with the appropriate ecu (p06) that I can't get out of limp mode. It ran fine for a week after I rebuilt the engine. Then last week it had entered limp mode. 3000 rpm cutout. Now I did rebuild the dizzy with all brand new parts from a d16z6 dizzy. As far as to my knowledge the internals are all the same. And it keeps getting the crank sensor code #4. No matter how many times I reset the ecu. I'm just at a standstill now and not sure what's going on. Help please
The code 4 is why you cannot rev the engine over 3000 RPM. Either you did something wrong during the dizzy rebuild or that sensor pick-up is damaged and the distributor must be rebuilt or replaced.
That's what I'm not understanding. I took a brand new d16z6 dizzy right out of the box never used. Pulled all the guts out of it, coil, icm, the 3 pickups, and the shaft. Thinking that would clear this code. But no luck . I've read on here that the d16z6 dizzy is the bastard child of the honda distributors. Everything from 88-00 is interchangeable. Except that one. Not sure if this is 100 percent facts. I know the case is different but the internals look to be identical. Just trying to avoid buying another dizzy for 3 or 400 bucks.
Reason for this is I have a 53 foot seacan full of parts. I have a few d16z6 engines and going to build another mini me but fully built this time. So I slowly buy parts over time. So I just had that brand new dizzy in a box. I never intended to use the d15 head to be quite honest
