I have a 97 ek and I always wanted a hatchback I found a eg straight shell the wiring harness but has interior with I believe the under dash harness still I will look into that can I take everything on my ek and swap it to the eg with no problems?

Depends upon model spec. But immobilizer added, ECU & most wiring plugs changed, along with various suspension mount locations.
Many parts are interchangeable but not all, so swapping would need carefull attention to the details.
Obviously no interior or exterior panels are interchangeable.
Drivetrain has been swapped but EG auto & manual mounts welded on the bodyshell differed, though I think aftermarkt conversion mounts are available.
