EP3 with a few problems. Need help.
I bought a used EP3 that is almost completely stock except for the AEM intake and filter. It runs and drives, just a few things I need help with.
Here are a few problems I have with this car:
No heat, blows cold air
I cant seem to get the heater working on this thing. The top and the bottom radiator hose are hot, the two hoses into the firewall to the heater core are hot. The heater valve works when I change the temperature from cold to hot and back. I can see it moves the blue cable on the heater valve to opens or closes it.
I bled it with the no spill coolant funnel for around 40mins. I rev the engine to 3k RPM until no more bubble, only a tiny bubble everyone once in a while. The temperature gauge on the dash displays just above the C, not even a quarter. My OBD2 reader would say 215F and it still displays a little above C. Also the fan kicks on at 220 F or something around there.
I did a compression and they are around 180 except for cylinder 3 which is 177.
I did a engine block test and the water stays blue after 5 minutes of pressing.
Oil doesn't have milky thing, gas cap is clean, radiator cap is clean.
I drove it as a daily and it doesn't lose coolant.
Battery lights on
It has a battery light on the dash. I removed the alternator and brought it for testing at Orielly's and it came out good. Battery is fairly new bought in September 2021.When car is not running, it reads 12.4V. When it is running, it reads 14.1V to 14.2V
ABS light
I don't have a scanner with ABS and the local auto parts stores doesn't scan for ABS either. Is there anyway to tell which sensor is bad or just go to a shop and let them scan?
Thanks in advance everybody.
