I'm looking for some advice on my Del Sol, I picked it up 6 months ago, its the 1.5 AUTO but driving it home the engine started to go, so I pulled it out. (I should mention this is my first swap) While pulling it out I discovered it was not the 1.5(D15B7) engine It was the D16Y8. I bought a D15B7 to put back into it because it was the only engine around I could get my hands on.
After putting the engine/transmission back in putting the harness back on etc the car cranked, but wont start. So I did what every reasonable human would do, I watched chrisfix, I wasn't getting spark with, had low fuel pressure and was out of time, so I started by getting the engine in time, then replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, distributor after doing this the car did start, but it hit around 500-600 rpm then slowly died, so I replaced the Fuel injection pressure regulator, the fuel filter, the injectors, and the fuel pump, its getting great fuel pressure now, but still isn't starting and I'm now at a complete loss on what's wrong.
