Mmm.......i smell the scent of a carbon fiber hood around here~~
For me, this would be a perfect chance to get a cf hood. Just pay a little bit more than the fixing price of ur current hood and get a cf hood. Anyways, the metal work AND the paintjob will cost you same if not more than the cost of a cf hoood.

use the paintless dent repair. Look it up in the phonebook. 1/3 the cost of bodywork and you'll keep your original paint. Or find someone's hood they've swapped for carbon-fiber...plenty of those around in LA...

he said that there is a line of scraped paint so he will need to paint, which will cost him.

touch up paint comes out totally ghetto. I really wouldnt suggest it because i have many experience with touch up paint and you gotta paint several coats evenly after drying and it always gets on parts that were not damaged and makes it look like shiet.

I know some product some paint shop use to touch up..
what you do is you touch up the area..
let it semi-dry and rub chemcial to it and someof the paint will come out..
and do it couple of time and it will match up much better than reg. touch up..
anyways..I'll take a cf hood instead..
400+- for knock offs

forget knock offs man, then it's just for the look. most knock offs are as heavy as stock hoods, not to mention made poorly. you want carbon fiber, go to Fiber Images. my 95 accord hood was 540 and change after tax. of course that's on a special deal, without a deal, tack on about 100 bucks more. but what the hell, it's only money right? can't take it with you when you're dead
