Obd1 dizz on obd2 head

Default Obd1 dizz on obd2 head

I have a 98 civic with d15b non vtec obd1 I was thinking of putting a y8 head can I put my obd1 dizz on the head

No.

You would have to swap the internals of the dizzy to an OBD2 dizzy body. Different bolt patterns from dizzy to head.

The only distributor with a different bolt pattern are the ones for obd1 vtec heads.

You can absolutely use the obd1 non vtec distributor on any 96-00 head. All you need is an obd1 to obd2 distributor harness.

I'm currently using a d15b7 distributor to run the d16y8 in my 94 civic.

Interesting, I don't have my Y8 head anymore so I can't go test to see.
