Default need help choosing motor

I want to swap my VW engine for a Honda engine in my sandrail. After much reading of forums and other research I find myself more confused than ever about what motor to use. The ECU/ECM wiring harness situation seems to be a bit confusing. I'm not a great mechanic so the more simple ,the better.. Can anyone recommend a motor (4 or 6 cyl) that comes with a simple to acquire and install ECM wiring option? 175+hp is what I'm hoping for. Thank you.

Ford Pinto circle track engine with a carb? About as simple as it gets and will meet your power goal.

By the time you get to Honda stuff that turns clockwise you are pretty deep into electronics to make it run correctly.

Wow, where would a guy look for that type of engine?. Sounds like a specialized unit. I appreciate your input. Thank you.

The easiest option would be K24, you can get ruining with a simple stand alone ( like a Fueltech FT450 ) which is also your dash.

K24s are being dropped into everything due to their ease of availability , good hp ( usually around 200 hp ) , and and cheap price .
