I recently purchased a 1998 Honda Civic LX with 187,xxx miles. The clutch was just replaced and the thing runs like a champ.

I have one CEL on, for a small Evan leak I am hunting down, but no other DTCs.

my question is when I am accelerating my RPMS will get up to 3-4K between shifts, but the car is gaining speed slowly. It’s not as responsive as I’d like.

i looked into the spark plus which seem relatively new, along with the wires and distributor cap. A new clutch was installed before I purchased it as well.

I was planning on trying to clean my injectors or replacing them but I think since my rpm’s are going up it’s getting fuel and air and spark. Next I thought I’d replace the trans fluid. Any other ideas as to why my car has shotty acceleration? Air filter was just replaced too.

for reference the car idles with no issues, and drives with the slower acceleration with no issues.
