Default Brakes losing vacuum?

I have a 1996 hatch with a y8 stock brakes and booster. My problem is that when I’m driving it will randomly be that I have to press the brakes way harder than usual to stop. Almost like they have lost vacuum. I’ve checked the vacuum hose and no cracks or tears. Fluid is topped off and brake pads have life still. Only thing that I’ve noticed is that one of the rubber brake lines to the front left caliper is rubbing and has a small witness mark not leaking or anything though and I mean I still have brakes.
Could this mean my brake booster is going out it happens randomly and has been happening for longer durations each time

It could be the brake check valve that is built into the brake booster hose is sticking and not allowing vacuum to pass. I've seen these go bad when people use seafoam into the hose.

I’ve never used sea foam but I’ll try changing it and seeing what happens.
would it be a bad booster if not?

I've really only seen boosters go bad when the master cylinder leaks brake fluid into the booster.

Replace that hose that's rubbing.

and properly test your booster.
