95 civic dx b16a motor idle air control valve
Son's hose keeps coming of idle air control valve think we need new hose, do I ask for 95 civic or 97 integra IAC valve ? He might replace iac valve also. Let me know thanks
It sounds like you may need a new hose for your idle air control valve. When it comes to the IAC valve itself, there are a few different options to consider. The 95 Civic and 97 Integra both have different part numbers for their IAC valves, so it's important to make sure you get the right one.
To find the correct part, you can try looking up the part number for your son's specific car based on the year, make, and model. Another option is to take the old IAC valve to a parts store or mechanic and ask them to match it up with the correct replacement.
Once you have the correct IAC valve, you should be able to install the new hose and get everything running smoothly again.

Assuming it's a USDM B16A2 or similar, you'll want to look up parts for a 94-97 Del Sol vtec. Dealer is your best bet. A parts store s just going to sell you a length of hose.
Once you have the correct parts, installation should be fairly straightforward. There are plenty of online resources and forums that can guide you through the process step-by-step, but if you have any questions or issues, please feel free to reach out
just asked my kid it's jdm b16a I added pics for the hose to the thread if u wanna see if its the rite one

Should be the same unless it's a really old 90-91 B16A, then you'd have another set of headaches.
WHen you say the hoses keep popping off, are they clamped place?

it's possible that it may be called something different than what you're used to hearing. You can try searching for "idle air control valve hose" or "IAC valve hose" for your specific make and model. Another option is to take the old hose to a parts store or mechanic and ask them to match it up with the correct replacement.

Honda dealership said its discontinued so no way to buy a new one, autozone said i wouldnt be able to find one either
Just buy some 5/16" fuel injection hose (and I know what you are thinking, he meant to say heater hose, and that would work also, however, FI hose will likely be the same size as the original hose so you can use the factory clamps) and create some loose bends to make the needed connections. Otherwise, you will have to purchase some small worm gear clamps at the same time.

Will the 5/16 hose still work
If you can get the OE part... get it. If not, go to your nearest auto parts store for some 5/16" fuel injection hose. Take a piece of the damaged hose with you to compare OUTER diameter. If the new hose is the same size or VERY SLIGHTLY larger, then you should be good.
